Metis Protocol

A Governance and Collaboration Implementation Framework

for the Distributed Autonomous Company(DAC)

DAC: Restructured Consensus Communities

DAC Collaborations are fundamental to the Web 3.0 era

  • DAC is a subclass of Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), which builds on blockchain and token economics

  • Blockchain applications, internet communities, sharing economy, gig economy, etc., are all within the spectrum of the DAC

  • DAC has no predefined boundary as it is open, distributed, trans-boundary, and flexible. Unacquainted collaborators are autonomously organized together to collaborate on some business projects, create value, and get incentives

  • The “Complex Collaborations” in the DAC constitute the fundamental layer of building up a community or DApp in the Web 3.0 era

Metis Protocol

A Systematic Governance and Collaboration Implementation Framework for DACs

Synergizing the merits from the Staking Economy, Optimistic Rollup, Smart Contract, and Microservice Framework, Metis Protocol fosters a simplified, fair, protectable, practical, and high-privacy environment for all the distributed collaborators

Metis Protocol has two layers mechanism:

  • Meta Staking Contract(MSC) to provide governance for the establishing, termination, and disputes arbitration of the DAC collaborations

  • ComCo Management Framework to deploy and manage the collaboration implementation for the DAC

META Staking Contract(MSC)

Where DAC collaboration starts

  • With MSC, you can easily and permissionlessly establish the collaboration with anyone else in the world, no matter where they are, no matter it is a temporary organization or a long term business partnership

  • Referring to and innovating the algorithm of Optimistic Rollup, the pullback and arbitration mechanism of MSC could protect the interest for both parties and punish the collaborator who couldn’t fulfill his promise

  • Just like signing an e-contract, MSC is very easy to use. When both parties stake the deposit, the MSC is created, and the collaboration relationship is established; And when each party agrees, the MSC can be terminated automatically; If any disputes arise, each party can apply for Arbitration service, the MSC will be suspended until disputes resolved

ComCo Management Framework

Bridge the gap between off-chain value creation activities and on-chain governance

  • ComCo Management Framework includes

    • Transactions Statement Contract(TSC) to define the milestones in the transactions that each party has agreed on

    • Microservice Tools Pool(MTP)  to provide microservices tools, templates or APIs for executing business activities

  • ComCo Management Framework will deploy Transactions Statement Contract onto the sidechain, call Microservice tools to implement the detailed activities, and administer the implementation of these activities. Based on the consensus of the execution results, the ComCo Management Framework will initiate the Token Incentives or Arbitration

  • ComCo Management Framework empowers distributed teams and professionals to collaborate in a transparent, controllable, easy-to-implement, and results-oriented environment
